Zahirah (5/1/2007) I almost puked when I saw Fabolous new video! I'm sick of the ice / bling topic and I think that Fab should have came better then that ! I know its all about making a dope club song, but god...not another bling song.
I just can't believe that Lauryn Hill isn't in your top 5 femcees list. shame.
list of shit I'm tired of in hip hop:
1. Materialism. 2. Tupac and Biggie shout outs. 3. Radio DJ's. these motherfuckers need to die. I was with a bitch the other day and she was listening to the local hip hop station in Sacramento...they had just got done playing this horrible song by Sean Combs and Kesha "Why Did You Have To Be From Oakland" Cole...and the DJ said (and I quote): "that was the new one from diddy and kesha cole...they're bringing this new trend of having an 80's sound...making the beats sound like some 80's heat right there..."the new trend.....Diddy making shit that sounded like David Bowie B sides is a new trend...if I were a violent person I swear to fucking moses i'd drive to the station, chop that cockling's sausage fingers off his cum coated hand and feed them to him.
4. KRS-One. Please stop it already. 5. The South. Most bullshit in hip hop is due to the South. 6. Hyphy. Just remember that I was the first one to claim this shit was dead. can't wait to make a shirt and have it be official. 7. "Bringing It Back." mutherfuckers need to stop saying this shit. out here, every other album is something along the lines of "West Coast Cure" type shit, thinking that combining the bullshit from LA and the Bay will "bring the West back." the West didn't fall off the face of the Earth...we don't need to come back. folks saying Nas and others like Nas are "bringing back that hip hop shit." shit never left, what the fuck....bring me back a bagel and shut up. 8. Movements. everything is a "movement" without it actually being a movement. there's no difference in what any of these self proclaimed "movement" starters are doing. they need to stop.
I'll think of more later.

I'll mail you a croissant and a pan du lait.
Now, if you behave yourself, I'll upgrade it to a "croissant rustico!"

I think it's time to start the anti-self-obsession movement in hiphop. But RM_3000 alone, doesn't make a movement.
Surprising no one mentioned reggaeton yet in this thread. Does that mean this form of musical turd has officially died yet? (prayers goin' out to you, Jeebus)

| That's because there is no need to mention Reggaeton. Only dude on the planet that actually likes that shit is NORE as far as I can tell. So, yeah, dead as a dodo.

| As far as I'm concerned you can rap about what ever the fuck you like, as long as you come with originality and put your own spin on it. Eg clipse's subject matter is entirely one thing (selling raffle tickets), but they come creative with the lyrics and the whole album has a cohesive feel that backs up the subject matter. Thats kinda why I think lil wayne is killing it right now, the boy has a limited subject matter to say the least, but his whole style, delivery, flow and wordplay are fresh and he is clearly enjoying experimenting with his rhymes. Kinda reminds me of older indie rappers except that he rhymes about ho's, drugs and guns. However, if I never hear another token 'song for the ladies' it will be too soon.

I'll think of more later. LOL @ your Lauryn Hill comment! Of course she is thee top!! I just met up with Medinah Starr at a show and I told her I would put are name out there when I could cause she's dope. As for Jean Grae, I think she is underrated, so I dropped her name and Bahamadia never was promoted right .... so basically its a given that Lauryn Hill is one of the sickest female MCs, but I feel lik she gets the respect for that and others don't. I be name droppin trying to support femcees ! LOL Google Medinah Starr ...I don't know her myspace, but she crazy nice and check on the new shit from Jean Grae.
Best Female MCs

Crack. Also rapping about weed has also gotten ridiculously redundant.
